• Blow-up plastic bubbles kit from craft or grocery store
• String

How do I make the bubbles-on-a-string?

 Step 1:  Determine length of string you want to hang.

Step 2:  Blow bubble and carefully tie a knot around the end before twisting off straw to seal.

Step 3:  Repeat at desired lengths.

Step 4:  Hang.

How do I make the branch ribbon?

 Step 1:  Cut ribbons in 4-6" strips.

Step 2:  Tie ribbons to branch.

Try this: Muffin Tin Wall Décor

Whattya need?

• Muffin tins of any size
• Yarn
• Hole puncher

How do I make the muffin tin?

 Step 1:  Punch hole in the edges of muffin tins.

Step 2:  String tins together with yarn and securely tie together.

Step 3:  Tie yarn at desired length to holes from the end of tin.

Step 4:  Hang.

Try this: Cardboard Box Houses

Whattya need?

• Utility knife
• Hot glue gun
• Cardboard box
• Yarn
• Ribbon
• Buttons
• Other decorations
• Markers and/or crayons
• A city cardboard building permit

 How do I make the house?

Step 1:  Cut the flaps on the open end of the box to create the roof.

Step 2:  Cut another piece of cardboard to fit the peak of the roof.

Step 3:  Assemble roof pieces together with hot glue.

Step 4:  Using utility knife, cut a flap at the ‘front’ of box and fold it back to create the door.

Step 5:  Cut windows into the box.

Step 6:  Decorate the house by drawing, coloring, or gluing on ribbon, yarn and other decorations.

Try this: Birdcage Bottle and Bird

Whattya need?

• X-Acto knife or utility knife
• Hot glue gun
• Large plastic bottle, like a two liter or juice bottle
• Fabric strapping
• Embroidery thread
• Needle
• Any fabric
• Batting or any kind of stuffing, such as extra fabric, plastic bags, newspaper, etc.
• Pins with colored heads, buttons, or other decorations

How do I make the birdcage?

Step 1:  Use knife to cut the birdcage openings in an empty bottle.

Step 2:  Cut fabric strapping to the size and width of the plastic areas remaining on the bottle.

Step 3:  Apply strapping to plastic with hot glue.

Step 4:  Use embroidery thread to decorate.

Step 5:  Drill hole into the lid for hanging.

How do I make the bird?

Step 1:  Cut bird body and wing shapes from fabric.

Step 2:  Stitch bird body sides together using embroidery thread and needle, leaving a small opening that’s still big enough for the stuffing.

Step 3:  Insert stuffing through open area in stitching, then stitch closed.

Step 4:  Attach wings with needle and thread.

Step 5:  Decorate using pins to make eyes or sewing on buttons, fabric or other decorations.

Step 6:  Run string through the bottle top into the center of the bottle.

Step 7:  Attach end of string to bird by stitching.

Step 8:  Tie two strings together so that the bird hangs centered in the bottle.

Step 9:  Hang.
